Ceiborg CDS-10 is a backup and archiving solution specifically designed for the small to mid size company, enabling them to create secure and well-organized data backups on standard CD or DVD media. CDS-20 adds Blu-Ray support. The system consists of an automatic handler for 100 discs with CD/DVD drive and printer. It connects to a computer or network by means of USB. This is a low cost solution for huge data storage on standard discs which never will be altered by viruses or electric failures. It creates one or multiple copies of your files and preserve them unaltered for as long as hundred years at a very reduced cost. The printer is used to identify the discs, thus adding a feature that is not available in magnetic media recording or jukeboxes. Unattended operation is a unique feature as the operator does not need to change discs or tapes or write manually the identification. Most important is the recovery of stored data, which does not require special software or even the CDS-10 or CDS-20 system to do it. Data can be recovered from any computer. A catalog of all the recorded sessions is stored together with the files. This catalog includes the lists of files, dates and the discs that have the files. With the catalog you can find immediately all the versions and locations of your files. The same system can be used for archiving data on non-changeable media. This enable companies to comply with government regulations. In addition the system may have other uses in the company, like backups in different locations, duplication of discs for software production, data storage of images and many more.
